West Village NYC Engagement Photos

Engagement

If you’re looking for that quintessential New York vibe for your engagement photos, the West Village is where it’s at. This neighborhood is classic New York, with its charming brownstones, cute cafes, and that undeniable European feel. For Annie and Richard, it was the perfect setting for their editorial, chic engagement shoot.

We kicked things off near The Breakfast at Salt Cure, one of my favorite spots in the area. The surrounding streets are full of hidden gems for photos, and it’s a great place to start if you’re scouting locations.

We stumbled upon a cute little cafe where Annie and Richard could relax with a glass of wine. The staff was super accommodating, even letting us borrow some lamps for the table setting! There’s something magical about the West Village cafes—they give off this “Parisian café” vibe that’s just perfect for capturing those candid moments.

The West Village is also great for those street shots. You can find spots near the crosswalks that are sectioned off, so you get that cool middle-of-the-street vibe without dodging cars.

Annie and Richard wanted an editorial, chic feel for their photos, and the West Village delivered. We started by the brownstones and then moved to a cozy cafe. Even a little rain didn’t stop us! We used an umbrella, which added a fun touch to the photos. And, of course, we got that must-have shot of them kissing on a stoop—classic New York!

If you’re dreaming of an engagement shoot that captures the essence of New York with a touch of European charm, the West Village is the place to be!
